Pinterest is an  excellent tool to use when planning a party!
I set up most of my pins by Party Themes, I gather all my ideas that I like for a specific party, that way they are all on one board. You are also able to name the pins what ever you want.

We recommend you use pinterest to plan your nex party for the following reason:

  • Searches: If you’re looking for anything from cute invitation ideas to your dream wedding dress, use Pinterest to browse the “Weddings & Events” category. It’s chocked full of stunning pictures that will help you layout all of your event ideas and needs.
  • Boards: Create boards for specific aspects of your event or for the event as a whole. When you find photos that you’d like to apply, re-pin them to the appropriate board. This way you’re saving everything in one place and can easily organize your shopping lists and craft parties.
  • Collaboration: If you’ve got party planning friends on Pinterest who are helping you put together your party, add them as collaborators to the event boards and together you can pin different items found, leave comments on each other’s ideas, and keep all communication in one place. It also helps if you need a place to pow-wow, but don’t want the bride or guest of honor to see it.

Small Space BIG Party!! Here is how!

Wondering how you will ever be able to entertain a GREAT party in such a SMALL space???? Here are some tips....

1- Move the party outside (If you have the backyard space)
2-A simple, smaller menu will help you keep the food coming, drinks flowing and mess to a minimum
3-Rid your party space of any furniture you don’t need for the party
4-Strategically place mirrors on larger walls to create the illusion of having more space
5-Set up a buffet rather than a sit-down dinner area
6-When decorating for your party, whenever possible use your walls or hang things from your ceiling to create the ambience you desire without taking up extra space

Big Party Ideas With A Small Budget....

Do you have a BIG event coming up with a SMALL budget and are still in need of party favors... Maybe these ideas can help!!!!!

1) Handmade favors may be the ideal option for your event (Cupcakes, Hand painted t-shirt, you can even buy an item in bulk and enhance its look with ribbons, paint, etc.)
2) An Experience Party Favor (Experiences make great party favors that the people can enjoy long after a party is over, especially kids)
3) This one is especially for the kids!!! A Make-It-Yourself Birthday Return Gift (let the kids decorate or make their own return gifts such as cookies, when they are finished you can attractively wrap them up and they can take them home)

5 pitfalls to avoid when planning an event!!

When it comes to planning an event, it can be rough. You not only have to worry about all the details that are major, but you have to deal with all the little things. You may find that there are some reoccurring problems that you have when you plan events. Each problem that you run into should teach you some kind of lesson for the next event. The first thing that you should avoid when it comes to planning your next event is getting overwhelmed with details. If the event is getting bigger and bigger and you've seem to lost control over things, you need to get backup. It's hard to plan an event, especially if it is a very important event. You have to plan where you are going to have the event, the theme, the decorations, the food, the caters, the supplies, and the budget. You need to make sure that you stay within a budget, but get everything done. This is when you need an assistant or hire us :-). If you don't have an assistant you will have an emotional breakdown and it could ruin the event. Depending on your personality, the breakdown can be crucial. This is way you need an assistant. Don't get overwhelmed with things. When it comes to using an assistant you can leave them the minor things like fetching, fixing, decorating, and all the small details that you should never worry about. The second pitfall that you need to avoid is the bar and food. If you are going to have a catered dinner or event, you need to make sure that you have a written contact upon hiring. The contract needs to state the money, the food, and basically what you expect from the amount of money that you are paying. Even put the times when they need to show up in the contract or you may end up with irresponsible caters. You need to make sure that the food looks and taste good. You don't want to have people looking at you with disappointment. The third pitfall to avoid has to deal with contracts. Get a contract written for everything. It can be on a tablecloth, if you must. Just make sure that you have it in writing what you are paying them, why you are paying them, what you expect from them, and the day and times that they need to show up with the goods. If you don't, you will end up having someone come to you saying that they overbooked or they have increased the costs. The fourth pitfall to avoid is bankruptcy. Make sure that you set a budget for your event. The way to successfully set budget is to set a least and the most amounts. For example, you can pay at least $5,000 for the party, but you can go to $7,000. Then you aim for the average, so you would like to have a $6,000 party. If you set your budget like that you know exactly if you need to cut the corners or if you can expand somewhere on the party. You will also be more successful if you set yourself some limits. You'll be more likely to be under budget. The fifth and final pitfall to avoid, is relaxing too far in advance. A lot of people will plan an event so far ahead that they think that they can take it easy the day before or even the day of the party or event. You need to realize that when you find extra time to relax, make some phone calls. Make sure that everyone is on the same page so that when the day comes you don't run around like a chicken with it's head cut off. You can take the day of the event with an relaxed pace because you were on top of things the day before.

4 ways to ensure your event will go as planned!

When you are trying to plan a great event, you want to everything perfect so that it all goes as planned. This may not always be easy and in fact you will have to work hard at it to make sure that it does go the way that you are hoping. You should not get all worked up about your event. As long as you have the right materials and the work ethic to do it, you will have a great and successful time. There are four ways to ensure that your event will just as you have planned. You will first want to make a budget. Once you know how much you can afford to spend on this special occasion, you will then be able to plan out all that you have to spend on your purchases. This will give you some kind of start so that you can follow through on it. It is very important to stick to your budget so that you are not forced to go over and have to find ways to pay the extra cost. Once you have the budget in place you will want to make a list. This is the second way to ensure that everything goes as planned. Once you have the list of all the materials and things that you need to plan out, you will then be on your way to making the most of your special occasion. You will want to figure out the different things that you will need and then go from there. This will be the best way to make sure that you are getting good deals on all the things that you are in need of. Make sure that you are checking things off of your list as they are done. You will want to do this so that you are not forgetting to take care of something and this will help you leave nothing undone. You will find that planning out the event will go a lot easier and quicker when you have a great plan to move on with. This will be a very good way to stay organized and on track. The third way to ensure that your event goes as planned is to make sure that you have a lot of help. You do not want to take on all the challenges of running an event yourself. You want to have as much help as you can so that you are able to make the most of your special day. You want to have friends help you out as much as possible as well as even hiring some extra hands to get everything done for you. They will also be able to keep an eye on things at the event. They can watch over and make sure that all is running smoothly and if there is a problem, they can try and fix it before you even find out about it. This will be a great help and also take some of the stress off of you when the time comes. The fourth way to make sure that you are succeeding with your planned event is to have a lot of patience. You do not want to get yourself worked up too much. You want to make sure that you are calm and collected so that you can handle any problems that may come up at the event. You will feel better and be able to relax when you are in control of the situation. This is something that a lot of people do not do and they will find that they have no fun at their own party. You did all this planning and hard work and you should be able to enjoy it as much as you can. Calm down and have patience. Things are going to go wrong and there is nothing that you can do about it. All you can do is work through it and hope for the best.
