Power Of Pinterest

Are you on pinterest?!?!

Pinterest is a virtual pin board incorporated within a social network. Those that love to create scrapebook would LOVE pinterest. You are able to create indiviual pin boards and "pin" images that you like. You are able to organize them anyway you want. You can categories your pins into categories that are of interest to you, a few popular categories that we have are :

  • Do it Yourself
  • Wedding Planning
  • Parties by Theme
  • Fashion
  • Home Interior

Pinterest is an  excellent tool to use when planning a party!
I set up most of my pins by Party Themes, I gather all my ideas that I like for a specific party, that way they are all on one board. You are also able to name the pins what ever you want.

We recommend you use pinterest to plan your nex party for the following reason:

  • Searches: If you’re looking for anything from cute invitation ideas to your dream wedding dress, use Pinterest to browse the “Weddings & Events” category. It’s chocked full of stunning pictures that will help you layout all of your event ideas and needs.
  • Boards: Create boards for specific aspects of your event or for the event as a whole. When you find photos that you’d like to apply, re-pin them to the appropriate board. This way you’re saving everything in one place and can easily organize your shopping lists and craft parties.
  • Collaboration: If you’ve got party planning friends on Pinterest who are helping you put together your party, add them as collaborators to the event boards and together you can pin different items found, leave comments on each other’s ideas, and keep all communication in one place. It also helps if you need a place to pow-wow, but don’t want the bride or guest of honor to see it.
Pinterest is full of great ideas and fun creations that can make party planning easy for everyone.  Pinterest is the ideal to discover and organize all party planning aspects.

Prom Time.. Our top 10 dresses

There are a few nights in a girls life that she will remember and cherish  FOREVER.. Prom night being one of them..
Although my prom was 10 years ago, I remember it as if it was yesterday. The looks on your parents face as they are helping you get ready, the excitement to meet up wth all your friends to party the night away.. Aside from prom night , my fav part was shopping for my dress and once it was purchased I could NOT wait to get it on! I still have my prom dress although I could NEVER fit it again LOL..
We have put together some of our fav prom dresses for 2012! Just like the wedding trend its all about color and style.

Tip of the week

Choosing a theme will make the party planning process so much easier because you can use it as inspiration for selecting and creating everything from invitations and decorations to food and signature drinks.
Whether it’s very specific – such as a "Modern Moroccan Birthday Party" or as general as a favorite color palette, having a theme in mind will help guide your decisions and keep you from getting overwhelmed by too many options!

Small Space BIG Party!! Here is how!

Wondering how you will ever be able to entertain a GREAT party in such a SMALL space???? Here are some tips....

1- Move the party outside (If you have the backyard space)
2-A simple, smaller menu will help you keep the food coming, drinks flowing and mess to a minimum
3-Rid your party space of any furniture you don’t need for the party
4-Strategically place mirrors on larger walls to create the illusion of having more space
5-Set up a buffet rather than a sit-down dinner area
6-When decorating for your party, whenever possible use your walls or hang things from your ceiling to create the ambience you desire without taking up extra space
